NEARMUG, Inc.
Overview 2010
NEARMUG, Inc. was originally founded for individuals and companies that purchase and use Nortel telecommunications equipment but has since grown to include a much broader range of telecommunications equipment and services. NEARMUG’s mission is to provide the primary resource to which Nortel Networks users in the North East Region may turn to for education, product knowledge, and professional contacts. NEARMUG, Inc. consists of six Chapters. Each of these chapters strives to represent all users of Nortel Network products in the North East Region. States included in this region are Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Our most significant accomplishment each year is the NEARMUG conference. Held annually this conference has become the premier Nortel end-user conference in the Northeast and is now in its 16th year. The conference agenda is packed with current and innovative workshops. The NEARMUG conference accommodates the wide range of educational and product interests among area Nortel end-users.
NEARMUG, Inc. uses proceeds from the annual conference to initiate educational offerings throughout the Region. This may include formal training, mini-workshops, web casts, or whatever other means are available to maximize educational opportunities for NEARMUG members.
